The Scarpa Vapour Lace Climbing Shoe - 2015 Review | Outdoor...

2015-07-22 2 Dailymotion

Despite being named for its sister shoe the Vapour Velcro, the new Vapour Lace climbing shoe from Scarpa has some significant differences from the Velcro model that extend beyond its method of closure. The lace has a full-length outsole as compared to the Velcro's three-quarter length outsole. This has helped to produce a stiffer shoe that will excel on edges or face climbs. The whole upper is made from a seamless microfibre reinforced with a TPU exoskeleton at the lace attachment points which gives a stretchy construction without the risk of damage to the structure from the laces. The fit is very much the same as the Vapour Velcro so if you've been using this model and are in the market for a shoe to tackle trad climbs or slabby sport routes then the Vapour lace would be an excellent choice.
